Improved services at the Enfant-Jésus RHSJ† Hospital in Caraquet
Caraquet, June 7, 2012 –
The Fondation Hôpital de l’Enfant-Jésus RHSJ gave Vitalité Health Network a $90,000 cheque to help bring various projects to fruition. The money was collected through various fundraising activities held as part of the 2012 annual campaign of the Fondation Hôpital de l’Enfant-Jésus.
With this money, Vitalité Health Network will be able to invest $90,000 in various departments at the Enfant-Jésus RHSJ† Hospital including Diagnostic Imaging, Rehabilitation, Medicine, Religious and Spiritual Care, as well as Staff Development. Ten thousand dollars of this money will be used to support regional projects for the Mother-Child and Intensive Care programs at the Chaleur Regional Hospital.
“We are thrilled about the new equipment, as it will significantly improve the quality of services provided on the Acadian Peninsula,” said Judy Butler, Facility Director of the Hôpital de l’Enfant-Jésus RHSJ†. “We are very grateful to the Fondation Hôpital de l’Enfant-Jésus for this donation, which is the result of hard work on the part of this organization,” continued Ms. Butler.
The annual campaign’s overall fundraising target had been set at $90,000. The final result announced at the unveiling is $112,388. “I would like to seize this opportunity to thank everyone who made a donation and who ultimately helped us purchase the new equipment unveiled here this morning. The support of the residents in the area is outstanding and I am very happy to see that our facility continues to be important to them. This morning’s investment will allow our organization to improve services provided by staff members of the Enfant-Jésus RHSJ†,” said Joseph Lanteigne, President of the 2012 Annual Fundraising Campaign of the Fondation Hôpital de l’Enfant-Jésus.
The cheque presentation ceremony and official unveiling took place today at the Enfant-Jésus RHSJ† Hospital in Caraquet with a number of guests and dignitaries in attendance.
